Hot-rolled coil products of Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Co., Ltd., or SSI have been certified as ECO PLUS Label which is the “Self-declared environmental claims” label under the topic of “Recovered Energy” from the ECO PLUS Project.
ECO PLUS Project is organized by the Department of Climate Change and Environment (previous name is Department of Environmental Quality Promotion), Ministry of Mineral Resources and Environment and the Federation of Thai Industries to enhance the community enterprise network and the entrepreneurs of the environmental friendly products, as well as to push for and support the development of the guidelines to identify environmental friendly products and services, including the preparation of the self-declared environmental claims report, pursuant to the ISO 14021 Environmental Labels and Declarations – Self-declared environmental claims. Thus, the registration system of ECO PLUS Label has been initiated to register the products of the organization or the entrepreneurs who need to declare the environmental-friendly or identify the environmentally value of the product by themselves (self-declared environmental claims). The validity of the certified ECO PLUS label on the product is 3 years.

- Hot-Rolled Coil, 1.40 mm. thick
- Hot-Rolled Coil, 1.80 mm. thick
- Hot-Rolled Coil, 1.95 mm. thick
- Hot-Rolled Coil, 2.10 mm. thick
- Hot-Rolled Coil, 2.90 mm. thick
Previously, 3 of SSI’s products have been certified for Carbon Footprint Label from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO, such as: 1) hot-rolled coil (HRC), 2) steel square tube, and 3) hot-rolled coil prickled & oiled (HRC P/O).
SSI determines to create and develop the products and services to make them conform to the current consumption trend to strengthen its competitiveness in the markets as well as to drive for sustainable production and consumption leading to low carbon society in the future.
