SSI Group’s leadership position in the steel industry has been strengthened from receiving 2 awards during the TPA Award: Thailand Quality Prize 2024. Mr. Manin Inprom, Vice President, Head of Manufacturing Division, Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) (the 7th from left) including the executives and staff of SSI received 2 awards from Mr. Bainoy Suwanchatree (the 6th from left), Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry. Awards received are: 1) Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI) received Bronze Prize in Category of New Born QCC Prize from the work “Reduction of Damage from Scale into Housing Bearing” developed by the staff from SPSB Team, and 2) Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited (TCRSS) received Silver Prize in Category of Manufacturing QCC Prize from the work “Reduction of Maintenance Expenses of No. 2 Roll Grinding”, developed by the staff from Miracle Team. Both works represented the organization’s operations of QCC (Quality Control Cycle) within Sahaviriya Steel Group which opens the opportunity to its personnel to take part in development of the work as a team, to practice the systematic thinking analysis process to enhance efficiency of work method and to clearly measure results concretely pursuant to the innovation enhancement guidelines to further lead to the organization development.
TPA Award: Thailand Quality Prize, arranged by Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) or TPA, was held at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna on March 20, 2024.
