Mr. Jira Chotinuchit, Senior Vice President, Head of Group Procurement Office, Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Co., Ltd., or SSI, presided over the opening of the 2024 SSI Group Supplier Seminar and the presentation ceremony of shield to 8 outstanding suppliers for 2023 and certificates to 20 high-standard suppliers with regard to product quality, price, on-time service and product delivery including social responsibility in accordance with the policy and regulation of SSI Group. Moreover, the policy, regulation and objective on procurement of SSI Group in 2024 which focuses on ESG Guidelines including the overview on business operations of each company has been clarified to exchange idea and build good relationship for business transaction between the buyers and the suppliers of the companies in SSI Group.
During the event, the suppliers could see exhibitions, operations and products production process of the companies in SSI Group (SSI-TCRSS-WCE-PPC) and listened to the talk on “Green Product, Carbon Credit and ESG” by Dr. Sirinthip Juntueng, Head of Center of Environmental Excellence, SSI and on “Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC)” by Khun Pin Siriprapasiri, CAC Project Manager, the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD). This year, more than 200 suppliers participated in this event, which was recently held at the Auditorium Meeting Room, Sahaniriya Steel Industries Public Co., Ltd.
