SSI Group (SSI, TCRSS, TCS, BSBM, PPC, WCE) in collaboration with Mae Rumphueng Sub-district Administration Organization and Bangsaphan Fishery Network arranged the 3rd SSI Group Plogging Activity on occasion of 2 global environmental important days, i.e. 1) World Environment Day, and 2) World Ocean Day to instill awareness, enhance natural conservation consciousness, protect and conserve the sea as well as build good relationship among the public sectors, private sectors and the communities in Mae Rumphueng Sub-district, Bang Saphan District.
The opening and releasing activity had been graciously presided over by Mr. Somsak Choosri, Deputy District Chief of Bang Saphan District. This plogging activity (jogging and garbage picking up) for a total distance of approximately 3.5 kilometers (round trip) has been participated by 645 people, consisting of the management team and staff of SSI Group, the community leaders, the youth and the general people. Total weight of garbage amounting to 560 kilograms have been collected and sent to the 2024 “Clean Province” project, a community waste management project arranged by Mae Rumphueng Sub-district Administration Organization for recycling, adding value and for making further benefits.
