Mr. Jongrak Rojpalasatean, President of the Management System Certification Institute (Thailand) – MASCI congratulated and presented the Innovation Management System Certificate pursuant to ISO 56002:2019 Innovation Management System to Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC or SSI and Mr. Nava Chantanasurakon, President of SSI received such certificate on behalf of SSI. SSI is the first Thai’s steel manufacturing company that received the ISO 56001:2019 certification. The innovation management system is the standard that can help the business and the organization to manage and drive the organization pursuant to the policy and objective on innovation, and it can develop competitive edge on product & service, process, marketing method, business model, office, or relationship with external agency as well as build or increase value to the stakeholders including the organization.
With strong determination to operate the innovation works according to the Company’s Vision: “Leading Innovative and Reliable Steel Company” and Mission: “Innovate premium value steel product, service and market for customers and consumers; create sustainable shared value and trust for stakeholders”, the Company has developed innovative steel products to respond to the consumers continually. In 2022, the Company has developed 13 innovative products, which included 1) Weathering steel which can withstand weather conditions and can prevent steel from rust corrosion; (2) HRC-SAE 1049 – a steel product which can be applied with the products which required hardness mechanical property and it can be used with the cold-dipped products, and 3) HRC-A414C steel product which is suitable to be used as pressure support containers and welding for assembling of the strengthening gas cylinder.
