Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC. or SSI revealed that the meeting of the Board of Directors of Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC No. 12/2021 on 18 November 2021 resolved to acknowledge the retirement of Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit from position of the President of SSI with effective date from 1 December 2021 and to approve Mr. Nava Chantanasurakon, Senior Vice President, Head of Commercial Division, to be a new President of SSI to drive the hot rolled steel sheet in coils business and businesses under SSI Operating Company with effective date from 1 December 2021.
Mr. Nava Chantanasurakon is a knowledgeable person who has capability and expertise on trade, human resources, steel industry & related industries and has management experiences in high-level positions in various business sectors.
In addition, Mr. Win Viriyaprapaikit still holds position of Group Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Committee who has roles on driving strategies of business units and group offices pursuant to the organizational strategy on building new businesses, strengthening existing businesses and adding business capital to generate sustainable profits for the group of companies.
